Alfred Sauce (Healthier) and Noodles

Recipe Ingredients for Alfred Sauce (Healthier) and Noodles

1 1/2 tsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable broth
1 1/2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
400 g spaghetti

Recipe Directions for Alfred Sauce (Healthier) and Noodles

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and saute until golden brown.

  2. In a small saucepan, stir together milk, broth, flour, salt and pepper over low heat until smooth and thick.

  3. Stir into garlic.

  4. Continue to cook over medium low heat, stirring frequently, until the sauce is thick.

  5. Whisk in Parmesan cheese.
