Al Pastor Marinade, Delicious for marinading pork shoulder and cooking on vertical spit. Also great when added to ground turkey meat, It gives the turkey a taste like choriso, I add this to ground turkey meat and cook in a skillet sloppy joe style, the result is deliousious in tacos and scrambled with eggs in the morning, Just like Eggs and choriso

Recipe Ingredients for Al Pastor Marinade

3 teaspoon arbol chiles
4 servings g) Chipotle Peppers In Adobo Sauce Chiles Chipotles
3 ounces dried chiles
6 ounces white vinegar
6 ounces pineapple juice
5 ounces water
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 yellow onion, chopped
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
4 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons chopped oregano leaves
2 teaspoons ground cumin

Recipe Directions for Al Pastor Marinade

Deseed and destem dried chiles, place in saucepan with water and vinegar to rehydrate them. After rehydration combine all other ingredients except for cinnamon stick in food processor and blend until smooth. you may want to omit the cinnamon stick if you are using this for the ground turkey recipe and just add some ground cinnamon to the marinade. if you are looking to use this Pork Al Pastor, break up cinnamon stick and place with marinade in marinade bag or casserole dish with meat.
