I made my own stock from the turkey carcass but could only enter canned turkey broth. This soup is hearty and delicious

Recipe Ingredients for After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

12 cups turkey broth
275 g frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup brown rice
3 cups turkey
4 g bay leaves
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon ground sage
1 garlic salt to taste
1 ground black pepper, to taste

Recipe Directions for After Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

  1. Place turky carcass in a large pot and fill with water. Boil until all the meat falls off the bone.

  2. Strain it into a vessel large enough to hold the liquid. Return stock to pot and allow meat to cool slightly. Remove any bones and skin remaining.

  3. Return meat to stock and heat to boil. Add rice and vegetables. Reduce heat and simmer until rice and vegetables are done

  4. Serve with crusty bread
