Recipe Ingredients for Adapted Bourbon (Rum) Apple Cake

5 golden delicious apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup wholewheat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger powder
6 tbsp vegetable oil
6 tbsp applesauce
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp rum

  1. cut & peel apples, cover with sugar

  2. sift dry ingred over apples

  3. beat wet ingred

  4. mix wet ingred with apples

  5. bake at 350 for 1 hr (30 min for muffins)
