Recipe Ingredients for Adam's Chicken Soup

1 gallon chicken broth, homemade
4 oz. chicken, pulled
1/4 onion, yellow, chopped
1 carrot, sliced
2 medium potatoes, red, diced
1 1/3 cup red lentils
2 cups white rice, cooked

Recipe Directions for Adam's Chicken Soup

Place bones and trimmings of 1 rotisserie chicken into a pot with about a gallon of water, add 1 tbsp. salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and allow to simmer for 3-4 hours. Strain out bones, skin, trimmings and fat but save meat. Let cool/chill overnight and skim fat from top in the morning. Reheat and add vegetables and herbs to taste.
