Peas add a nice texture and flavor when mixed in with mashed acorn squash. Good as a side dish to poultry which is baked at same temperature for same time.

Recipe Ingredients for Acorn Squash and Peas

1 Acorn Squash
1 cup Peas
1 tablespoon Butter

Recipe Directions for Acorn Squash and Peas

  1. Cut Squah in half and place upside down in baking dish

  2. Fill bottom of backing dish with 1/2 inch of water

  3. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes until tender

  4. Heat Peas

  5. Remove squash from shell and mash

  6. Add butter and warm peas

  7. Season with pepper or small amount of cinnamon if desired
