I just made this dish for dinner and it was THE BEST homemade indian i've ever made! I got it from an old Self magazine, it was originally only shrimp but i added the chicken to the recipe. Quick and easy, adjust chile according to taste. I made mine Super hot!!!

Recipe Ingredients for 5 Spice Shrimp & Chicken

200 g chicken breast, cubed
100 g shrimp
2 cloves garlic
15 g piece of ginger
1 medium onion
200 g tomatoes, pureed
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cardamom
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp scotch bonnet pepper

Recipe Directions for 5 Spice Shrimp & Chicken

  1. Spray pam or non cal cooking spray to skillet

  2. add chopped onion and saute till golden brown, about 3 mins

  3. grind or chop ginger & garlic

  4. add to skillet

  5. add spices and tomato to pan

  6. simmer 5 mins

  7. add shrimp & chicken

  8. cook till chicken is cooked thoroughly about 10 mins

  9. keep cooking till most of liquid is evaporated

  10. serve over rice
