Recipe Ingredients for 5 alarm chili

1 lb ground turkey
1 onion
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 pepper jalapeno
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
6 oz tomato paste
30 oz kidney beans
15 oz black beans
15 oz Cannellini (White Kidney) Beans, Organic
28 oz stewed tomatoes
7 oz canned chipotle peppers
1 quart of water
1 tbsp Vinegar, Cider

Recipe Directions for 5 alarm chili

  1. In a large pot over medium-high heat, cook turkey until brown. Drain and return to pot. Stir in onions, bell peppers and jalapenos and cook until tender.

  2. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more. Season with chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Stir in the tomato paste and kidney beans with their liquid.

  3. In a food processor or blender, puree the tomatoes with the chipotle peppers until smooth. Stir into the pot with 4 cups of water.

  4. stir in the vinegar. Simmer about 45 minutes before serving.
