Heartier whole grain pancakes. Can substitute any grain for any others-- soy adds more protein, flaxseed adds more omega 3s. Oat bran or wheat germ is good too.

Recipe Ingredients for 4 grain pancakes

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup soy flour
1/4 cup ground flaxseed
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup cornmeal
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 3/4 cup skim milk
3 T butter
3 eggs

Recipe Directions for 4 grain pancakes

  1. mix dry ingredients together

  2. melt butter and add to eggs, whisk in milk

  3. add wet to dry,

  4. Use 1/4 cup measuring cup to make pancakes. 2 pancakes each serving
