Crockpot 3 bean chili with ground turkey

Recipe Ingredients for 3 Bean Chili with Turkey

1/2 cup onion
2 cup tomato sauce 15 oz can
2 cup kidney beans 15 oz can
1 lb turkey
1 red bell pepper diced
2 cup canned tomatoes diced
2 cup black beans 15 oz can
2 cup can pinto beans 15 oz can
1 tsp Corn Starch
1 tbs Corn oil
2 tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic

Recipe Directions for 3 Bean Chili with Turkey

  1. brown onions in corn oil in skillet,

  2. once onions are cooked add ground turkey in skillet and brown,

  3. transfer onion & meat to crockpot, add 1 cup water to skillet and heat to deglaze pan, add heated water to crockpot

  4. add diced bell pepper, tomato sauce, and diced canned tomatoes, chili powder, garlic, salt to crockpot stir all ingredience and set crockpot on high for 30 minutes then set on low for 6-8 hours.

  5. Rinse all 3 beans add to crockpot, stir, increase crockpot to high for 30 minutes.

  6. Optional - If you'd like a thicker chili base add Corn Starch to 1/2 cup water, stir until dissolved then add Corn Starch mixture to chili slowly while stirring chili until chili is the consistence you desire.
