Recipe Ingredients for 1940s All Butter Pie Pastry

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbls sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 lb butter
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp lemon juice
3 tbls water
1 egg

Recipe Directions for 1940s All Butter Pie Pastry

Combine first 3 ingredients. Cut in butter. Dissolve salt in lemon juice. Make well in dry ingredients. Pour in lemon mixture and add water and egg. Mix with fork to create clumps. Friasage 3 times. Make 2 4 in disks. Chill for 30 mins. Roll.
