Recipe Ingredients for 17+ bean soup

3 cups garbanzo beans
3 cups lentils
3 cups black beans
3 cups pinto beans
3 cups navy beans
3 cups fava beans
3/4 cup red onion - diced
6 cloves garlic
1/2 cup red bell pepper - diced
1/2 cup green bell pepper - diced
2 stalks celery
2 cups carrots - diced
2 tblsp parsley
1 jalapeno pepper
14 oz ham - diced
40 oz canned tomatoes
1/3 cup olive oil

Recipe Directions for 17+ bean soup

  1. Cook beans until soft as directed on bag

  2. Add diced carrots,spices, and celery

  3. Let onion, peppers, and garlic simmer in olicve oil until soft, then add to beans

  4. Add tomatoes to beans

  5. Let cook for 1 hour

  6. Add ham

  7. Let cook 1/2 hour then serve
