Beef barley soup without the beef-- uses Morningstar Grillers crumbles.

Recipe Ingredients for 15 minute 'Beef' Barley Soup

4 servings (College Inn Low Sodium/Low Fat Beef Broth)
1 cup (Canned Carrots)
2/3 cup (Quaker Quick Barley)
1 tbsp dried onions
2 tsp dried parsley
1 cup (Morningstar Grillers Meal Starters)

Recipe Directions for 15 minute 'Beef' Barley Soup

  1. Warm (toast? fry?) 1 cup Morningstar Grillers in DRY skillet.

  2. While cooking, add 1 cup canned carrots to soup pot.

  3. Add 1 can of beef broth to pot.

  4. Add warmed (toasted? cooked?) meat sub. to pot.

  5. Deglaze pan with part of second can of beef broth.

  6. Add contents of pan/rest of broth to pot.

  7. Add 2/3 cup quick barley to pot.

  8. Add parsley and onions to pot.

  9. Cook until barley is tender.
