Hearty 15 Bean soup that sticks to your ribs but not your waist...

Recipe Ingredients for 15 Bean Soup w Turkey Bacon

20 oz With Seasoning Packet Original 15 Bean Soup
0.5 large Onions
2 clove Garlic
0.5 pack Turkey Bacon
6 large (5" long) Pepper, Banana
14 oz Peeled Plum Shaped Tomatoes
3 tbsp Parsley, Dried
1 tbsp Pepper, Black
0.5 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne

Recipe Directions for 15 Bean Soup w Turkey Bacon

  1. Place beans in a large pot with 2 quarts f hot water and soak overnight or at least 8 hours (I do mine for almost 24 hours).

  2. In a non-stick pan, fry turkey bacon.

  3. After soaking, drain water out in colander, add 2 quarts of water and turkey bacon (cut in pieces).

  4. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 2 and a half hours.

  5. After simmering, add tomatoes, banana peppers, onions, garlic, red and black pepper, parsley and chili powder.

  6. Simmer for another 30 minutes.

  7. Add contents of ham packet in packaging in last 2 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste (though I don't add it to mine).

  8. Yield approximately 3 quarts, 16 servings.
