Hurst's 15 Bean Soup- Cajun w/ Ham Bone

Recipe Ingredients for 15 Bean Cajun Soup w/ ham bone

567 grams Cajun 15 Bean Soup
12 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 large Onions
1 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery
1 carrot (7-1/2") Carrots
2 cup Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
3 Teaspoon Juice
6 clove Garlic
1 tsp Spices Cajun Seasoning
4 oz (1 serving) Ham, Honey

Recipe Directions for 15 Bean Cajun Soup w/ ham bone

  1. Soak beans overnight or use quick method if desired.

  2. Drain beans and cover with 3 quarts of water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 2 hors or until beans are just tender. Add Ham bone.

  3. Saute onions, celery, carrots, and garlic until soft. Add to soup pot with canned tomatoes and continue to cook until beans are very tender, approximately 1 hour.

  4. Add cajun seasoning and lemon juice during the last half hour of cooking.

  5. Adjust salt (sea-salt), add pepper.

  6. Add hot sauce, if desired
