Recipe Ingredients for 12 Grain Buns

1 1/3 cups water
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 tblsp honey
2 tblsp shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup flax
1/4 cup rye
1/4 cup wheat
2 tblsp wheat germ
2 tsp yeast

Recipe Directions for 12 Grain Buns

Add ingredients to breadmaker in order listed. Flax, rye and wheat can be sustituted with 3/4 cup of Red River or similar 12 grain cereal. Set to dough setting. Remove at end of cycle and form into buns on cookie sheet. Cover and let rise in warm place till double in size. Preheat oven to 375. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
