a low fat version of tea buns,I experminted with took a tea bun recipe and modified it, to make it healthy

Recipe Ingredients for 1 point mary's cream cheese apricot raisin tea buns

1 cup white flour
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups spelt flour
4 tbsp cream cheese
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
2/3 cup dried apricots
2 cups raisins
2 cups plain yogurt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tsp vanilla
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tsp flaxseed
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 tsp baking soda

Recipe Directions for 1 point mary's cream cheese apricot raisin tea buns

  1. boil the apricots to soften to make jam.

  2. mix the yogurt,cream cheese I used pineapple cream cheese.apricot jam,olive oil and vanilla until fluffy

  3. with stand mixer or other mixer.

  4. mix the other dry ingredients together including the

  5. raisins and cinnamon and flaxseed

  6. cut out on floured board with approx 1/2 cup of the whole wheat flour.Only used 2 cups of the whole wheat flour in the recipe

  7. used small wine glass to cut out

  8. bake 350 degrees for approx 20 mins

  9. on stoneware pan
