I go to an aerobics class right after work, and I get home at 7:15 or so, and I don't really want a lot to eat. It is it okay to eat two scrambled eggs with a little cheese, or are eggs bad for me?
Eggs are good food. They are full of high quality protein and other important nutrients, like essential fats, minerals and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K). But your meal of eggs and cheese lacks carbohydrate, which you need to replenish your muscle glycogen after exercise. A better meal would be 1 egg, 1/2 ounce of cheese, whole wheat toast, and a small serving of fruit and/or yogurt. To save fat calories, you could microwave your eggs and use low fat cheese and spreads. Try to eat three of more food groups at a meal.
