I recently started the Atkins diet and I feel very light headed. What gives?

I'm 5'8 and 215 pounds and want to get down to about 150-160 so I started the Atkins Diet. Today is my second day and I feel very light headed and weak. I'm a little concerned because I don't know if the symptoms are caused by me having carb withdrawals or if its because I'm only getting about 800 calories a day. I'm committed to losing the weight and I thought that Atkins might jump-start the process but I also want to do it in a healthy manner. What gives???
Lightheadedness has several causes, including medication side-effects and anxiousness, but a shortage of carbohydrates and calories may also be to blame. Carbohydrates are not an addictive drug, and so elimination does not produce withdrawal symptoms. But during the Induction Phase of the Atkins Diet, the body is taxed as it switches from glucose to ketones as its primary fuel. Even though your carbohydrate intake is low, you need to meet your calorie requirements from foods that are high in protein and fat. Eat more foods like meat, poultry, seafood, eggs, low carbohydrate vegetables, and vegetable oils, and drink lots of water because ketogenic diets are dehydrating.
