Not everyone has the presence of mind. I know many people who would just run around, arms flailing, and screaming.

Me I go into survival mode and my brain almost goes into tunnel vision about what i need to do. Same thing happens when I see a lot of blood. If its in a movie I get totally grossed out but in real life i'm completely the opposite. I've patched up some really nasty injuries before without feeling the least bit squeamish about touching it or messing with it.

It is.

I could tell you stories that would make you cringe at things the ex had to do/see while patrolling around various parts of FL.

He was also in NOLA right after Katrina.

To say he's seen some shat is an understatement.   While many rescues work out, many do not.

Yeah, I know a successful rescue is difficult. Even a successful recovery of anything at all can be near impossible.

It always makes me think of Lauren Spierer. They still haven't found any trace of her and it's been years. I'm sure at some point they'll find bones in the state park down by IU and it'll be her. :(

You'll probably need to jazz it up with some parmesan or shredded cheddar.  It's really bland, from what I recall.

I usually add some spices and either shredded swiss or parm.

I have yet to find a decent boxed gf mac and cheese.

I finally figured out to get a box of Kraft and just use the powder with gf noodles.  Not that we have it much.  I think we've had it twice in the last couple years.

I think I got Annie's.

L would gobble up baked whitefish (usually sole) when he was T's age. Just completely demolish it. It was awesome.

Out of the two options, I think I would go for fish sticks and mac and cheese.

On the bright side, I can have Indian for dinner instead of fish sticks and mac n cheese.

I doubt L will like chicken tikka masala anyway.

I found an Indian place that delivers. Now I am really excited! Chicken Tikka Masala, naan, and a veggie samosa for lunch. And I can keep working on all these Payroll tax returns that are due Friday. WOOT!

ETA: Grub Hub says my order will be delivered in an hour...let's hope it's sooner than that.

And now I have to wait to go to lunch until my other coworker gets back, and she was sent to do grocery shopping by her boss. *eye roll* (We share an office space with another company....consists of 3 people and one works remotely)

Do your own damn grocery shopping!!

Sorry. I am hangry.

Jimmy Johns?

I had hopes for a salad from Kroger.

An hour long on the phone with a client, my poor desk is scattered with tax documents, and people just keep walking in and trying to tell me they need to see my boss.

Guess what you guys, she's not here. All day long, I promise!

Oh, I didn't see her update.

Yeah, lily, it's normal.  Tess definitely went through a hair pulling phase as well as a hitting phase.  It really sucks, though.  Like you said, just consistent, firm responses. When I got really frustrated I'd just set her somewhere and walk away for a couple minutes.  She REALLY hated that.

That was my only possible suggestion. I do that to L even now. If he starts throwing a fit he has started this thing where he collapses on the floor and just whines. I get up and walk away. He gets over it real fast!

Of course now that he is communicating better and better, I try to talk him through it and ask him to tell me what he needs or what is bothering him. Obviously your little guy isn't at that stage yet. It gets better...and worse. lol. Ummm...yeah.

Good morning!

OOooo house talk!

T picked out a house down here he wants to drive by this weekend. I really like it, even though it needs some sprucing up. The kitchen needs some restructuring for sure.

This one!

Looks nice.

and now i realize they took it off the market.

Wonder what that means? It was listed for 110...which is a steal. Maybe someone snatched it up between last week and now. :(
