|Weight Gain||Fear of "pigging out"||Jul 22 2011
I was prone to this in the early stages. I could eat sweet things all day. It was pretty much all I wanted to do. I could eat a ridiculous amount of sweet things and still not feel sick.
It'll get a lot better when you get close to a healthy weight and your cravings even out. I still love to eat sweet things, but I'm not craving them 24/7 anymore. Sweet things were what I restricted most, so my body was crying it for it during recovery. Possibly the same for you?
|Weight Gain||ice cream?||Jul 22 2011
Maybe give yourself a small portion to begin with, so you don't feel like binging? You can gradually get yourself used to the ice cream again, so you no longer associate it with your binging, but rather, associate it with a snack?
I'd definitely recommend the New York Super Fudge Chunk flavour. Asda usually has it, if I recall correctly. Probably my favourite.
From your list, I'd go with Fossil Fuel though.

Gingerkisses: *Complete Zelda fantard.* :D
B: Mixed bowl of fruit and fibre and frosted shreddies. (500) packet of pineapple chunks. (82)
L: Pitta bread stuffed with chorizo and veggies. (270)
S: (Totally not much of a snack) whole tray of nutella fudge crumble. (5800 according to recipe calculator)
D: ( Was taken out for dinner by friends parents)
Starter: Risotto with cheese on top. (350 ish?)
Main: Brests of chicken wrapped in parma ham with potatoes and veg. (500 ish)
Dessert: Sticky Toffee Pudding. (700 ish)
...so full at the end of last night. Consuming that amount of calories all at once cannot be good for the body, but I really don't care. I was on a munch and didn't really feel like stopping and I didn't want to be a downer at dinner, so I went with it.

Raspberryrose: The Milka bar was the creamy one, which has more calories. I'm positive I'm not overestimating. My portions are almost always double(perhaps more) the recommended amount
Spiritriser/Beth: It's good to see a familiar face here! I still have the Milkybar, just have breaks from it every now and then. :P

iazzae: Much is right. At 5'8 and 113lbs I'm guessing you'd still look rather thin. I'm confused though, are you recovering from an ED? currently seeking professional help? Are your parents the ones weighing you?
If you're not seeking professional help, I'd advise it. You may think that you can get through recovery by yourself, but there's a lot of mental problems that need to be tackled with the help of a professional in most cases. Get help, you'll seriously thank yourself for it in the long run.
Also, I wouldn't say that was excessive.

I agree with Muchlinski. I don't see any sort of a binge in that meal plan. Looks perfectly normal, if not a little skimpy. :S

|Weight Gain||Do you think this is enough to gain?||Oct 29 2010
2500 IS generally advised for females. This helps not only with gaining weight, but repairing your body also. You'll probably need a lot more calories to gain than a normal person, due to the amount of calories needed just to repair your organs, etc. If you're gaining on 1900/2000 just now, I'm guessing it's because you were eating at a very low number during your ED? If so, your body will probably be holding onto all the food it can get. Once you increase, you can expect to see initial gains, but these gains usually level off after a while. Your metabolism can often rev up when you even increase upwards of 2500. 2500 is usually suggested to get your body out of starvation mode successfully. The more you eat now, the better your metabolism is going to be when you fully recover, IIRC. The end result is the same no matter how much you eat- to gain weight. You may as well increase and repair your metabolism.
As for increasing,:
-maybe you could higher calorie bars? I can't really recall, but aren't brunch bars only about 100 calories? Try eat natural bars/ NAKD bars.They're a good size and they're about 225 calories Nature Valley bars? About 200 calories.
- Try a normal sized Muller Rice? I know that Muller Rice can fill you up, but I don't think the normal is that much bigger than the mini.
- Try more spreads throughout the day? Try a nature valley bar and put 2 tbsp of PB between the 2 slices you get. It's yummy and an easy 400+ calories.

|Weight Gain||fat or calories????||Oct 28 2010
I think it's still debated on whether a calorie is a calorie.
(You're recovering from an ED, right?)
I believe it is. I only believe a calorie is not just a calorie when building muscle. If you're not trying to build muscle, the weight will go on the same way if you eat your calories in chocolate, or eat it in apples. I wouldn't recommend trying to micromanage your diet when you're gaining though. You'll get too caught up in "I'm eating too much of X. I need more of Y" I'd recommend to just eat whatever you feel like at the time, it'd help to alleviate some of the anxiety you may have surrounding food. Micromanaging your diet at this point will only heighten the anxiety. Obviously, a balance is important, but try not to get too caught up in it. :)

Betty: I can relate to that. I've been straying away from a primarily "healthy" diet in an attempt to get over fear foods and eat like a "regular" young person would. Although I've never binged, I still feel afraid that I'm going to binge on chocolate, etc. Thing is, our body can afford a binge. It'd probably be beneficial to us, as long as it didn't spiral into a binge disorder of course.. :)
B: Big bowl of porridge w/ 3 egg whites, chocolate custard and curiously cinnamon. 1 egg with 2 slices of toast cut into soldiers.

S: Mug of hot chocolate + caramel yoghurt and 2 apples.

Red Velvet cake is my favourite type of cake. Sooo good!

Fi: Yeah! So much better than the regular Maltesers. They're so creamy and just amazing. xD
We totally should. Let's get making a Christmas Malteser reindeer/bunny/polar bear. We'll make millions...or lose millions when we end up eating all of them. : D
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
