we've had some weight issues with him as well so I'm hesitant to do that, too, but there have been some days where I just determined we both had enough and he'll eat more tomorrow.

I'm trying to let T have the spoon to start and get familiar with it and even try and use it eventually himself, but with the throwing everything to the ground phase and hitting his table and bowls it's just not happening.  so I'm spoon feeding him still a lot of stuff that isn't pick-up-able.  :-/  even the things he can pick up, he just throws to the floor for the fun of it

he has pretty much eaten everything I've given him to this point but lately he gets picky if it's too bland or too much just plain veg.  kid loves fruit and cheese though, esp cheese.  don't blame him :)

T has become more specific on what he likes and what he doesn't (not to mention generally not wanting to sit still long enough for a meal and the great fun it is to just throw it on the floor :-p).  this has made planning his meals more of a challenge.

sounds delicious!

I have no idea what we are doing today.  I have chicken thighs in the fridge so most likely just simple roast those.  then whatever starch and veg I have at home I suppose.

anything fun for the chickpeas?

our pool table in the basement has turned into "temporary" storage.  horizontal surfaces are dangerous in a basement :-)

meh.  same old I suppose.  hitting a wall with the motivation here in the office.  just more interested in trying to get things done at home and feel like I'm wasting time here.  unfortunately the work keeps coming :-p

Fyi I'm currently in what I like to refer to as the lonely cow room. How's about that for a bit of solitude :-p

woo!  T's bday invitations are in transit from IN to PA!  Hopefully get them by end of the week and get them in the mail to everyone right away.  Need to start finalizing the food we want to get/make and all that fun.

it's still blowing my mind that we are already planning his first birthday party!

I really haven't done much planning on this at all.  I really love the location we were able to book for it, want to make sure everything else is just as awesome.

I'd like a two day vacation.  one day to just do absolutely nothing but baste in the solitude and then one day to do fun mini projects I've been wanting to do.

two days.  that's all I ask for.

EDIT:  heh....baste.   I'm not even gonna change that.

hard for all the stars to align perfectly.  guess there's only so much planning one can do.

not to mention travelling overseas in the middle of all that :-p

I recognize it'll be crazy but doing it now, what if we don't have a second kid, then we'll have more house than we need, doing it after the kid is born is an option too but if it's like with T we'll be just in survival mode for the first 6 months never mind looking for a house and keeping this one clean to sell.

I think our plan is once we know the second kid is on it's way to start looking.  however, I'd be more inclined to start looking now rather than later.  prices are still decent and interest rates are still good, they will definitely be up in a year or two.  but G is not inclined to start looking now, which, frankly we don't need a bigger house now, I agree, but we'll just be paying more later.

we do idlely look at Zillow and have even gone to a couple of open houses to get a feel for what we like and what's out there.

Allergy Remedies
Is It Possible to Go Natural?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
