Thanks, Soraya. If I can stick with it, it usually does the trick! I hope that getting more active at the gym helps your sciatica in the end. I'm glad you're taking it easy to start. Oh hon, fingers crossed for you. I do remember and I was so shocked, but obviously not as much as you ♥ It will be ok, no matter what.

Christine, I'm sorry your family are asshats about your weight. You don't need that. You can count on us. We support you and all your accomplishments, big and small! Sure, 280 by Christmas might be ambitious but it's all about taking steps towards the goal and cementing good habits. You'll do great!

Yoga today. We're hosting our families for Thanksgiving tomorrow. The weather is supposed to get icky-cold (high of 25° and snow). Yesterday was the anniversary of Mom's death in 2010, and Friday is their wedding anniversary - it'd be their 50th. I feel a little heavy and contemplative, but not wracked with sadness anymore. Sigh.

On a happier note, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!

Christine, you are clearly planning for success! I'm sorry if I missed it, what and when is your surgery? No matter your exact weight at Christmas your family should be impressed with your achievements so far :) Your pants are falling down! You are smaller!

I did decide to start logging. I'm aiming for 1750 calories, at least 20g fiber and at least 80g protein. I missed protein by 6g yesterday, but when I ate breakfast I didn't know i was going to start logging that day HA! So it wasn't very well planned out. Today will be better. Circuit x class at the gym later.

Hope you had a nice dinner Friday. I LOVE tiny goals! I also love how you set yourself up for success by planning and getting fruit at the store :)

I kinda failed on the whole healthy eating plan this weekend. Time to get right back to it and see some results. Yes my primary focus is on working out, but I can't expect any change from that alone. I want to be at LEAST 10 pounds less than I am today by my birthday which is in 65 days. It's achievable, but not without focus. I think I may need to start logging. Still considering it.

Soraya, enjoy body blast!! I know that one always energizes you :)

I got in the hot tub, did a little foam rolling and a few stretches for my hamstrings and called it a day. First missed workout :( Today is a rest day. I have a rehearsal tonight and concerts Saturday and Sunday. John gets back tomorrow.

Yesterday I did yoga and my 3 miles. I wimped out on the intervals again and just walked, so it took me 52:57. Today the gym class I usually go to is canceled so this might be my first missed workout since Oct 26, unless I do it on my own or replace it somehow. I'd be more ok with missing if I hadn't already decided to skip the workout that falls on Thanksgiving, but I'm still really sore from Tuesday's class. Maybe I'll replace it with a good long stretching session.

WOW 90 squats! You're doing great Christine.

GAK! CircuitX was really hard today pant pant.  I'm glad that's over with. I'm still sticking to my workout schedule, like glue. Been pretty good with healthy eating too. I decided on Thanksgiving day I will take a rest day rather than trying to find something to replace my normal Thursday gym class.

Christine, I hope your busy weekend helped. I have read (probably on FB or something) that de-cluttering your physical space can help de-clutter and clear your mind. And getting rid of too-big clothes must be satisfying! I think cooking is good for the soul, too ♥. Great job getting all that exercise in.

Hubs is nearing the end of a 15 hour flight to Australia for work. Because of time zones he got to ENTIRELY skip Monday :)

I just got done with yoga. It was amazing. The regular instructor had been gone for 3 weeks and the substitute was ok... but I'm really glad the regular one is back. Three miles tonight on my treadmill. Need to fill up my water bottle.

Soraya, that's a really late night! I hope it was at least productive. Nice job eating light.

Christine, thinking of you today hon ♥

Rest day today. My CU Buffs play on national television tonight, which might mean some beers. I hope they show up.

Calorie Count Carbs--how to log/track them Nov 11 2015

If you log the food you eat, the analysis page will track carbohydrates.

Soraya, I hope you're feeling better. Keep moving and drinking water!

Christine, don't forget to take care of yourself ♥

I haven't missed a workout on my plan since I started (~2½ weeks ago), and I'm feeling proud of myself. Yoga today and 3 miles after work. I'm slowly adding more run time in my 5 minute run/walk intervals. I read somewhere on CC that intervals are better than steady-state cardio anyway, so if I can ever run the whole three miles I'll add intervals of incline.

I'm starting to think about workout plans over the holidays. For Thanksgiving I'll just skip my usual Thursday workout rather than try to replace it with something else. By then I'll deserve the break! Over Christmas/New Years we're off work for two whole weeks, so maybe that's the time to start lifting weights again.

Sorry your weekend sucked, Soraya :( You can get back to yoga and classes!

Potato! I forgot to mention potato in DH's "chili". Had that again last night after going 3 miles on the treadmill. CircuitX at noon today.

Sounds like you're working up carefully, Christine. Great job!

Yoga today and 3 miles after work. I've stuck to my fitness plan and I'm eating pretty well. I am not logging, just trying to make good choices. DH made a pot of chicken chili - sort of. It's got sausage, chicken, peppers, corn, white beans. celery, cream of chicken soup, milk, ummm, some spices. I can't remember what else. It's pretty good, which is nice because there's tons of it!

Great job, Christine! Are you using any weights yet for your squats? I love squats. Really a full body exercise.

Soraya, I like wearing my fitbit too, but I'm remembering why I quit wearing it when I was only weight-lifting. It's unmotivating to work that hard and get no "credit" in the form of steps. But right now I'm still treadmilling 3 times a week, plus it's good to get more steps in normal life too anyway.

PerformX was hard and then I had grilled cheese with ham and tomato bisque at the in-laws for dinner. I think that processed food/calorie bomb along with retaining water to repair my sore muscles led to this morning's evil weight: 166.6 <<side eye

Hi cmas. Sure, welcome! There's really only me and shapeshifter posting right now, but we're pretty consistent. I used to model a little too, back when I was young and skinny :) Good luck with 30 days of squats. I've heard on here of others doing it, but I never have.

Been sticking to my workout plan. Yesterday got to Yoga and did 2.5 miles on the treadmill after work, in 33:14. I'm slowly increasing the run portion of the 5 minute intervals. Today is PerformX then tomorrow is a much-deserved rest day! Ate well yesterday too. Today is dinner at the in-laws; often a calorie trap, but they know we're trying to eat better. I did well last week skipping things not in my plan.

166.1 (my goal is 150 by my birthday which is in 83 days)
