I just want to put it out there that weight loss pills don't really work. Yes I believe that they can give you a boost during exercise, but if you're not working out that day, what's the point in taking them?
The very best pill to take while dieting is a good multi-vitamin! It is like nutrition insurance. When your body had all the vitamins and minerals it needs, you are able to perform better and function fully, therefore burning more calories!
Does everyone agree with me? Have diet pills truly worked for anyone out there?
There are a lot of vitamins that your body can't absorb in pill form, so it's a good idea to look into whatever vitamin you're taking to make sure you're not wasting your time and money!
And yes, myaiki, Metabolife WAS crazy devil weightloss--it worked, but I feel like I didn't sleep a wink on days I took it!
I was taking the "One A Day Weight Smart" multivitamin. I've stopped taking it for 2 weeks, and I'll probably start it up again in a few weeks. Trying to see if there is any difference in my weightloss at all.
Has anyone else ever taken this one?

Some diet pills work. My doctor put me on phetermine and I have lost 15 lbs in 2 months. It curbs my appetite. I am watching what I eat and working out 4 or 5 days a week. It's not for everyone and you have to be monitored by your doctor closely. Mine gave it to me, because after 3 months of running 4 miles a day and watching my diet I hadn't dropped a pound. Now it is coming off.
Yes, I was put on it by my doctor and monitored closely by him. He said that some people are at such a risk that it is beneficial to them, if they eat right while on them.
Original Post by myaiki:I took Hydroxycut with Ephedra so I can relate to myaiki, I lost like 50 pounds in 3 months. I was working out like crazy, wasn't really that hungry. But I was a collage kid and eating (and Drinking) a college life style. I did keep the weight off but I never changed my eating habits so when I stopped working out as much once I was forced into the cruel real world the weight came back on slowly. I remember it was something like up to 4 pills three times a day or some thing like that. I couldn't handle 4 at a time and I was a caffeine junkie (plus I am big 6' 250lbs) that very little in the way of caffeine hurt me but 4 Hydroxycut just made me feel weird and jittery. I have tried other pills but none of them have worked for me, Ephedra worked but it was way to strong to be in just any body's hands for what ever reason they wanted them for.
The only diet pill that ever "worked" for me was Metabolife (back when ephedra was still legal). Boy oh boy, did they ever work. Lost 25 pounds in two months and kept it off for a very long time (until I had my kids). It really did reduce your appetite and give you more energy (as long as you don't mind being uncontrollably jittery all day long ). I have not used any type of diet pill since then, as I'm sure nothing works. And yes, I do agree that a good multivitamin is probably the best thing you could take (on top of actually eating foods that contain the vitamins you need).
