To all the men out there- are you turned off by women who wear colored contacts? Or find it attractive?
Like if a naturally brown eyed/ half asian girl who you always found to be pretty started wearing colored lenses... would it make her seem fakish?
People have preferences on color some like blue others like green exec, but fake ones are fake. I find it way sexier when a girl is confident in herself. When you add fake things to your body you look fake, and insecure. You tell me if you ever found a guy who likes insecure women. But if you are secure sometimes changing it up is fun and sexy.

No. Though my friend dated a girl who had ultra-light-brown contacts, which looked really awkward. I dated a girl who would switch between a normal green and a purple. I didn't really like the purple, but it wasn't a dealbreaker.

If its a natural color im against it. Too many girls wear the nice blue or green ones, and if you dont have that natural dont take it from the girls that were lucky enough to be born with such a trait. if they are "crazy" colors or designs its all good ^_^.
So are you saying that brown eyed girls are "unlucky?"
giggle you need to learn how to say your points nicer. Oh and my entire extended family on both sides has blue eyes, not that uncommon.
I've seen asians with blueish contacts and personally I think it's a little weird looking, just because (all?) asians do have brown/black eyes, same with a blond asian - you can be pretty sure those aren't natural. But if you just want to do it for fun then go for it.
*considers* So... I'm imagining my first impression.. and I don't think I'd notice that she was wearing colored contacts.. unless they were a really odd color like purple or gold or something.
I think, if I was dating a woman wearing purple or gold or something a little odder.. I'd really want to know why.
But assuming a natural color.. blue or green.. well, I'm not noticing.
But with further dates and as we get to know each other.. I guess, again, it comes down to why.
I don't see myself repulsed by a woman who wears contacts... but.. I'm not sure, from here, I can see why someone would think they'd need to.
So... I guess I'd say I don't find it attractive. But I also don't find it a turn-off.. unless your reasons for colored contacts are just plain vanity.. then it's a turn-off because vanity, in too high a quantity, is a major turn-off for me.

That's the stupidest argument I ever heard (even not taking into account that it considers green and blue eyes more desirable than brown eyes).
Should women not wear mascara because it "takes it" from women with dark eyelashes?
Should people not wear glasses because by improving their vision they somehow devalue people who were born with perfect vision?
Should people who are ill not take medication because it devalues the health of people who are perfectly healthy?
Where do you draw the line?
Well green eyes aren't that common. But I see blue eyes everywhere- just as much if not more than brown eyes. And I don't really think there's anything unattractive about having the pigment of an asian girl.
Here's what I think: You can be black, white, asian, hispanic, middle eastern or any other race out there and still be pretty. You can be small, tall, big, short, brunette, redhead, blonde, black haired, and still be pretty. So I kinda think that you can have blue, brown, hazel, deep brown green or grey eyes and still be attractive.
a good friend of mine has really blue eyes, and before she got lasik, she wore blue colored contacts. they made her already striking eyes look AMAZING!
i'd never wear em, i like my brown eyes :)
I like the color of my eyes. They're a light to medium brown with some green. So really, they're hazel. I like the mix of color and I like the fact that I can make them look lighter or dark with the right color make up. I don't think I would be less attractive or more attractive based on whether or not I wore contacts.
My sister on the otherhand has those color changing eyes. She goes froma vivid blue, to a bright green to gray. Naturally. I wouldn't believe it was possible if I hadn't seen it.
I don't know anyone else who wears those color contacts though. They're not that popular around here.
I'd totally wear 'em for fun. I equate wearing contacts with changing your hair color or even just make-up - it's not permanent, and lets you experiment a little with your looks. I occasionally decide to mess with my image once in a while (dye hair, tan, different wardrobe), changes things up a bit.
One of my friends used to wear these really intense green-blue contacts, and I seriously couldn't stop staring. So what if they look fake? Your eyes aren't obscene and bothering people, are they? Have fun with it.
i personally dont like it when people wear them. it reminds to much of getting plastic surgery. like getting fake boobs.
the only one i like is the white one. =)
I thought about it alot when I was younger because I'm one of the "unlucky" ones who have brown eyes but as I got older I learned to love my eyes.
Didn't hurt that one of my friends with bright blue eyes was always majorly jealous that I have black eyes :) Great ego booster.

Another female here to justify wearing the colored contacts. I've had to wear corrective lenses since I was 14 and that gets old quick. I wore glasses and when they came out with soft contacts, I wore them. Then they came out with the colored contacts and when I got old enough (and financially stable enough) I bought every color they had. I naturally have green eyes. But I liked to play with the colors. It was easier than changing my hair color and if I was going to have to wear contacts, then hey, let's have fun with it. I have green ones, light blue, aqua, dark blue, gold, brown and grey ones. When I wear the green ones over my green eyes, they look neon. My brother actually asked me if I could turn them off one time! LOL. When I met my husband, I was wearing blue ones and for years, he thought I had blue eyes... He doesn't pay much attention, obviously. I don't wear contacts as much any more because as I've gotten older, my night vision has deteriorated and according to my eye doctor, the colored contacts make it even worse. And with the age, comes the need for reading glasses so at this point I'm blind with my glasses and blind without them. Once in a while I'll put some in and have to wear the reading glasses but usually I just wear my glasses now and take them off to read up close. I don't see the wearing of colored contacts as a vanity thing at all. I certainly don't expect someone to base their liking me or not liking me on what my eye color is and if someone IS like that, then I probably don't want to know them very well to start with.
Woah are coloured contacts really that bad for your eyes? Like Acuvue colours?
The side effects of allergy medications keep some people from using them. Natural remedies can be a great alternative, but some are more effective than others.
