How long does canned pumpkin last in the fridge???

Quote  |  Reply
I made muffins with canned pumpkin like 3 weeks ago, and I put the left over pumpkin in a container and stuck it in the fridge... is it still good to eat?? is there a way to tell if its not?

If there's no mold on top and it doesn't have a funny smell it should be fine. If you smell something sour or fermented, then throw it out. Look for air bubbles in it as well. Most things like that keep several weeks in the fridge if in an airtight container.

In the can, it lasts about 3 days before it starts tasting gross and like metal. I bet it would last a lot longer in a sealed glass or plastic container.
I always have a plastic container of the pumpkin in the fridge but have only had the same one for about a week max. I'd say taste a small bit and if it tastes okay then use it.
I've kept canned pumpkin edible for up to a month (it was in the back and I forgot it was there.. :) )  So yes, it can be done.  Just yeah, look and smell it first.

As a result she's over 80 pounds lighter and a lot stronger than she was before.
